Governor Christie to Address NJ Mayors Tomorrow

Thursday at noon, Governor Chris Christie will make what is arguably a New Jersey Governor’s second most important speech behind only the State Budget Address. He will bring his message to local leaders at the State League of Municipalities 96th annual Mayors’ Conference in Atlantic City.

Christie has been traversing the state calling for action on his education reform proposals. The mayors I’ve spoken with feel those are important initiatives, but that’s not what they want to hear about tomorrow. The mayors are singularly interested in hearing what Christie plans to do to help rein in soaring property taxes.

The Governor will deliver his address from a crowded dais packed with his Cabinet chiefs, former Governors and legislative leaders.
